Weight of War Run 2026 – Canberra
The Weight of War Run is a community event on Saturday 5 December 2026 in Kingston, ACT, based at The Dock. It raises funds and awareness for veteran mental health through partners Survive To Thrive Nation and Zero79 Foundation. Entry is free for all participants.
Participants can complete the event wearing a 10 kg weighted vest and budgy smugglers to symbolise the physical and emotional load carried by veterans. The vest is optional and there are no race times, placings or prizes; the event is framed as a collective effort.

Registration is handled through the Weight of War website and requires signing the participant waiver so entrants appear on the official start list. The Canberra basecamp address is The Dock, 7/81 Giles Street, Kingston ACT 2604. The event is organised by Weight of War Limited, a not-for-profit supporting Australian veterans.
