Westminster Trail Race
The Westminster Trail Race is a multi-distance trail event held at Standley Lake in Westminster, Colorado on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The event offers several race distances that run on dirt trails around the lake and provide views of the Front Range.
Distances include:
- 50 KM
- 35 KM
- Half Marathon
- 10 KM
- 5 KM
All courses are run on packed dirt and single-track sections with some bike-path segments. Course layouts are primarily out-and-back or Y out-and-back formats. Total elevation gain varies by distance, for example the 50 KM lists 2358 feet and the half marathon lists 954 feet. Several distances list multiple aid stations along the route.
Support and logistics vary by distance. Crews may access runners at the start and finish areas for most shorter distances; remote aid stations in the longer distance restrict crew access. Pacers are not allowed on several distances. Drop bags are accepted at the start/finish area and organizers note a designated area for bag drop. Parking is available at Wayne Carle Middle School where the start and finish are located. Packet pickup is available at Runners Roost in Louisville and at the school on race morning.
