Westminster Trail Race
The Westminster Trail Race is held at Standley Lake in Westminster, Colorado. The event offers multiple trail distances that use updated routes around the lake with views of the water and the Front Range mountains. The course surface is entirely dirt and includes packed dirt trails, single-track, and sections that follow bike paths.
Distances on the course include:
- 50K - 32.3 miles, 1712 ft elevation gain
- 36K - 22.5 miles, 1163 ft elevation gain
- 18K - 11.2 miles, 583 ft elevation gain
- 12K - 7.7 miles, 464 ft elevation gain
- 6K - 3.7 miles, 287 ft elevation gain
Course formats vary by distance and include loop, out-and-back, and a lollipop-style route. Aid stations are provided on course; the number of stations ranges from one to three depending on the distance. Crews are generally limited to the start/finish area for several distances and pacers are not allowed. Parking is available at Wayne Carle Middle School, the event start and finish location. Runners may use designated drop bag areas at the start/finish; weatherproof bags are recommended because rain and wet ground are possible.
