West Michigan Latino Health 5K Walk/Run
The West Michigan Latino Health 5K is a community walk and run that begins and finishes at Roosevelt Park in Grand Rapids. The event focuses on health and wellness promotion with a particular emphasis on the Hispanic community and common chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and stroke.
The event offers a 5K walk/run and a Finish Fest at Roosevelt Park with food, free kids activities, and an awards ceremony that runs until 12pm. Registration is open for a fee of $30. Group pricing is available: groups of four receive a $5 discount per person when all four register together. Participants who register by August 1, 2026 at midnight are guaranteed a race shirt; participants 13 and older will receive a shirt, while those 12 and under may purchase a shirt and will receive a finishing medal. Shirts registered for after August 1 are available while supplies last and are not guaranteed for people who do not attend the event.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 1111 Godfrey Ave SW, Grand Rapids. Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles and receive shirts and food. Walking the course is permitted but the route must be completed within 90 minutes.
