West Michigan Latino Health 5K Walk/Run
The West Michigan Latino Health 5K Walk/Run is a family-oriented 5K event held at Roosevelt Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The event was created to promote health and wellness in the Hispanic community and to encourage families to include physical activity such as walking or running in their daily lives.
The course both starts and finishes at Roosevelt Park and the finish area includes a Finish Fest with food, free kids activities and an awards ceremony. The event is geared toward the Latino community but is open to all residents of West Michigan who wish to support healthier habits and balanced lifestyles.
Group pricing is available for teams of four, with a discount applied when all team members register together. Volunteer roles are offered in multiple time slots, and volunteers receive a shirt and food. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrants who meet the organizer’s published registration deadline; shirts for younger participants may require purchase and finishers under a specified age may receive a medal.
Walking the course is permitted, subject to a maximum route completion time of 90 minutes. Event directors reserve the right to cancel the event in the case of severe weather without issuing refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
