Event Overview
The West Lorne Optimist Mother's Day Road Race is an annual family event held on Mother's Day. It is organized by the Optimist Club of West Lorne Inc. and the Municipality of West Elgin. All proceeds support Optimist Children’s Charities and local youth initiatives.
Distances and Registration
The event offers several race categories:
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1K Children's Fun Run (free for participants 12 and under)
- Youth Student 5K and 10K (for participants 18 and under)
- Virtual Participant option
Registration and race kit pick-up take place at the West Lorne Arena on the morning of the event. Participants who register before April 15th receive a free t-shirt. All participants receive a finisher medal, except for virtual participants. The event uses chip timing with a tag attached to the race bib.
Beneficiaries
