West Lorne Optimist Mother's Day Road Race
The West Lorne Optimist Mother's Day Road Race is an annual event held at the West Lorne Arena in Ontario. Organized by The Optimist Club of West Lorne Inc. in partnership with the Municipality of West Elgin, this fixture takes place on Mother's Day. All proceeds generated from the event are used to support Optimist Children's Charities and local youth initiatives.
Participants can choose from a variety of event categories:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run
- 5 km Walk
- 1 km Children's Fun Run (ages 12 and under)
- Virtual Participant option
The 5 km and 10 km races utilize chip timing technology integrated into the race bibs. All participants crossing the finish line receive a finisher medal. For the Children's Fun Run, the first 50 participants receive a complimentary t-shirt on race day. Registration and race kit pick-up are located at the West Lorne Arena on the morning of the event.
