West KY FCA and Edward Jones Turkey Trot 5K/10K
The event in downtown Paducah, Kentucky, offers two road race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
All proceeds support scholarships for students to attend the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Camp at Western Kentucky University. The camp focuses on students developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and includes mentorship by college athletes who encourage student leadership on school campuses.
Registration details published by the organizer include a registration fee of $35 and registration opening and closing dates. Nov 15 is the last day to guarantee a race shirt; after that date shirts are limited and distributed at packet pickup on a first come, first served basis.
Packet pickup options include a pre-race day pickup at Pipers Tea and Coffee, 3121 Broadway Street, Paducah, KY 42001, from 10:00 to 17:00, race morning pickup beginning at 6:30, and an additional morning pickup by the downtown public restrooms at the corner of Jefferson St. and N. Water St. from 6:30 to 7:15. Most runners pick up packets the day before; packets contain bibs, shirts, and an information packet.
Awards are given overall male and female for each race and by age group. Grand prizes include hams and first place age group prizes include pies; results are posted immediately and pies are available during the awards presentation after the race.
