About the race

The Sixth Annual WESD 5k Walk/Run takes place on February 6, 2027 at ASU West Campus in Glendale, Arizona. The event is a timed run and walk of 3.1 miles and registration is free. Registration opens October 20, 2026 and closes February 6, 2027.

A health fair and registration/check-in will be held before the 5k, and welcome announcements will precede the start. Volunteers are part of the event program. Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the run.

Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in each age division: 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on participants. For safety and contractual reasons, participants will not be allowed to start more than five minutes after the official start.
