Event overview

The WESD 5k Fun Run and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026 at ASU West Campus, 4701 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ 85306. This is the sixth annual edition of the event. The main distance is a 5k offered in two event categories: ages 11 and up, and ages 10 and under. Registration for both events is free; registration closes on February 21, 2026.

Additional details

All participants will be timed. The event program includes a health fair, registration and check-in, welcome announcements, a kids dash, and a guided stretch. Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in these age divisions: 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Kids age 10 and under who take part in the Kids Dash will receive a participation medal. Spectators are welcome. Furry friends and pets are not allowed on the event field or premises.
