Wendover Woods Half Marathon & 10k
The Wendover Woods Half Marathon & 10k takes place in Buckinghamshire, utilizing the forest trails of Wendover Woods. The event consists of a 10k multi-lapped course characterized by hilly terrain and significant elevations. Participants can choose between three different distances:
- Half Marathon (open to those aged 17 and over)
- 10k (open to those aged 15 and over)
- Junior Run (a 1k distance for younger participants)
The route follows forest trails that offer views of the surrounding woodland scenery. Because of the nature of the course, it is open to both new trail runners and those with more experience. Registered entrants receive detailed event information before the race day, and GPX files of the route are available for download.
The venue features several amenities for participants and spectators, including an on-site cafe, an adventure playground, and forest walks. There is also a Go Ape center located within the woods. Parking is available on-site for those traveling by car. For those using public transport, the nearest train station is in Wendover, with local bus services running to nearby Halton.
