The Wellmark YMCA Red Flannel Run takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Des Moines, Iowa. The event offers two race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The event supports the YMCA’s mission to strengthen the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Participants are encouraged to wear red flannel attire. A custom 2026 finisher medal is available for purchase.

Location and packet pick up are at the Wellmark YMCA, 501 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309. Packet pick up dates:
- February 12, 2026, 4:30–6:30pm
- February 13, 2026, 4:30–6:30pm
- February 14, 2026, beginning at 7:30am
Race-day parking is available at two nearby garages: the Locust Street garage between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue, and the garage on 5th Street between Grand Avenue and Watson Powell Jr Way. Early registration prices are listed for each distance and include youth rates; prices increase after November 7, 2025. A course map is available through the event materials.
