Course and logistics
The course follows the Weiser River Trail, a converted railroad bed and designated National Recreation Trail. The route is a 50-kilometer point-to-point course that finishes at the Midvale Community Park. Trail surfaces include stony railroad ballast, dirt, and some paved crossings in towns. The route runs alongside the Weiser River through canyons and farmland and has very little elevation change.
A shuttle is provided from the Midvale area to the start location for solo runners only. There is no shuttle from the finish back to the start after the event.
Classes, aid stations and lodging
Runner classifications for the ultra require a minimum age of 18 and include Men (18-54), Women (18-54), Seniors (55 and over), and Adaptive Athlete (all ages). Aid stations are set up as five legs with the following distances: 6.1 miles, 6.9 miles, 9.1 miles, 5.0 miles, and 4.1 miles. These aid stations also serve as relay exchange points.
