Event Overview

This event is the 14th annual Mother's Day WeCare 5K. It will take place on May 10, 2026. The event is presented by Brookfield High School's National Honor Society and supports a beneficiary to be announced in the spring.

Race Details

The event features a certified USATF 5K course. Chip timing is used. T-shirts are provided to the first 100 registrants. There will be refreshments available.

Awards

The race awards an overall male and female winner. Trophies are awarded for first place in the following team categories: Mother/Daughter, Grandmother/Granddaughter, Mother/Son, and Grandmother/Grandson. Ribbons are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for male and female participants across nine age groups, from 8 and under to 70-79.

Course Route

The course starts and finishes at Brookfield High School. The route goes out on Long Meadow Hill Road to Hop Brook Road, where there is a cone turnaround, and returns via Long Meadow Hill Road back to the high school.

Registration

The registration fee is $30 per person. Participants can register up to 10 runners at once to save on processing fees. Team entries are welcome, though teams are not eligible for individual awards. Registration closes on May 6 at 12:00 noon. In-person registration on race day is available for $35. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
