Event
The Loch Leven Half Marathon is organised by Kinross Road Runners and is held annually in May around the shores of Loch Leven in Kinross-shire. The course starts at the bottom of Kinross, runs on closed public roads around the loch, and finishes in the grounds of Kinross High School at the top of the town. A future date is listed as 10 May 2026.
Prizes, sponsors and charity
Prizes are awarded in all runner categories and there is a team prize for ladies and men. A cash prize of £250 is offered for anyone who breaks the male or female course record. The course records are 1:05:45 (male, 1992) and 1:17:39 (female, 1999).
The event lists several sponsors, including Webster as headline sponsor and other supporting organisations. In 2024 runners donated £1,035 to TRACKS (The Rural Access Committee for Kinross-shire). For 2025, entrants are offered the option to make a voluntary donation to TRACKS (Scottish Charity Registration Number: SC030183) to support local pathways, including the trail around Loch Leven.
