Event overview
The Santa & Elf Dash takes place at Cammo Nature Reserve in north-west Edinburgh on Sunday, 21 December 2025. The event is organised by Blast Running and is expected to host approximately 250 participants. Distances offered are:
- 1K Elf Dash (all ages)
- 5K Santa Dash (ages 11+)
- 10K Santa Dash (ages 17+)
Entry fees listed are £5 for the 1K, £10 for the 5K, and £15 for the 10K. A minimum of £1 per entry is donated to Young Lives vs Cancer. There is also a collection point for the Edinburgh Food Project.
Course, equipment and facilities
The route follows scenic trails with riverside paths, open fields, narrow paths, steps, and small wooden bridges, and passes some historic landmarks. Organisers recommend trail shoes or grippy trainers because the ground may be muddy or frosty. The route is not suitable for buggies, wheelchairs, or frame runners.
