2026 Winter Weavers' Way Ultramarathons

The Winter Weavers' Way Ultramarathons take place on 14 November 2026 and are organised by Boghopper Races, which launched in 2023 with the inaugural Weavers' Way Ultras. The event offers two trail ultramarathon distances along the Norfolk Weavers' Way.

Distances

  • 100 km
  • 50 km

The 100 km route begins from Broadland - Great Yarmouth Rugby Club and follows Breydon Water before crossing Halvergate marshes to Acle. From Acle it runs toward Hickling along the River Bure and then joins the 50 km route at Stalham. The 50 km route runs via North Walsham and passes the stately homes Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, then continues downhill to a seaside finish at Cromer Pier.

Start locations are given for each distance, and the course includes multiple staffed and waterpoint locations. Checkpoints and waterpoints on course include The Pavilion at QE II playing field Halvergate, Acle bridge (waterpoint), Potter Heigham riverbank, Poppy Centre Stalham, St Nicholas Rooms North Walsham, Silvergate layby (waterpoint), Erpingham Village Hall and Hanworth Village Hall.

The route passes through villages, riverside sections, marshland and coastal terrain, using established public trails and community halls as checkpoints. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
