We Love Teachers 5K - Philadelphia
The We Love Teachers 5K - Philadelphia is scheduled for October 10, 2026 and is presented as part of the We Love Teachers Worldwide events and the National Day to Move for Education. The program includes both virtual participation nationwide and a Philadelphia host event at Pennypack Park, Philadelphia PA 19111.
The event lists in-person races in 10 U.S. cities and thousands of virtual participants nationwide. Results can appear on a national leaderboard in real time. Participants may dedicate their run to a specific teacher; dedicated teachers receive a digital certificate of appreciation. Schools can register teams to compete on a National School Spirit Leaderboard.
Registration benefits and race services include an official event shirt, a finisher medal, an official race bib, chip timing, and access to national and local results. The organizer states a collective goal of 100,000 miles walked or run for educators.
Award categories include overall male and female, age group awards for male and female across standard age brackets, and new awards such as Most School Spirit, Fastest Teacher male and female, Team Champion with a minimum team size of four, and a Legacy Award for best parent and child duo time. The event description also notes music, food, and prizes at the local celebration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
