We Fight Together Awareness Run

The We Fight Together Overdose and Drug Poisoning Awareness Walk/Run is a community event held at Wicker Park in Highland, Indiana. The event takes place at Pavilion A, located near the west entrance of the park. This gathering serves as a platform to raise awareness about drug poisoning and overdose while honoring those affected by the opioid epidemic.

Participants can choose to complete the course as a runner or a walker. The event features a standard route for all attendees:

  • 3 km Run
  • 3 km Walk

Participation in the walk and run is free of charge. The event includes a fundraising component where individuals and teams can set goals to support advocacy and education initiatives. Participants who reach a specific fundraising threshold receive an event t-shirt and a goodie bag. Teams can be formed with groups of four or more people, including friends, family, or colleagues.

The day includes a variety of activities beyond the run itself. Attendees can visit vendor booths, listen to music, and hear from guest speakers and members of the board of directors. The event is organized to support Sounds of Sarah Inc., a nonprofit organization that focus on prevention services and public resources related to illicit fentanyl and addiction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
