We Crawl This Town - Camarillo
We Crawl This Town is a running event held in partnership with Institution Ale Company in Camarillo, California. The event features two distinct race formats that start and finish at the brewery location on Mission Oaks Blvd. Both races are professionally timed and include managed routes for participants.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 4 person-Beer Mile Relay (1 mile per person)
The 5k is open to participants of all ages. The course is flat and follows a significant portion of its route along a bike path overlooking the Calleguas Creek. Participants aged 21 and older receive a pre-race beer toast before the start.
The 4 person-Beer Mile Relay is restricted to participants aged 21 and older. In this format, teams of four compete in a relay where each member must drink a 12oz beer before and after completing a one-mile run. The next runner may only begin once the previous teammate has finished their second beer. The final team members cross the finish line together. A one-minute penalty is applied for any stomach distress resulting in vomiting.
All registered participants receive an event t-shirt and a finishers award. The entry also includes access to beer sampling, typically consisting of several half pints of different brewery offerings.
