The 5K is open to runners of all ages. A pre race beer toast is available to runners 21 and older. The course is described as flat and includes a significant portion on a bike path overlooking Calleguas Creek. The route starts and finishes at the brewery. Entry includes a pre race beer toast for eligible runners, an event T shirt while supplies last, a finishers award, a post race beer, professional timing, and access to discounts on craft beer and food. The 4 person Beer Mile Relay is open to racers 21 and older and is organized as teams of four. The race fee is per team and listed as $119.99. Each team member runs a full mile sequentially; before leaving and after returning each runner must drink a 12 oz beer. Teams cross the finish together. A vomiting penalty of one minute is noted for any spewing. Entry includes two 12 oz beers per relay runner, event T shirts, finishers awards, a post race beer, professional timing, and access to discounts on craft beer and food.
