We Can Be Heroes 5K
We Can Be Heroes 5K takes place on October 25, 2026 at Orange County Airport in Montgomery, NY. The event is presented by Fearless! Hudson Valley and includes running and walking options plus a youth fun run.
The event program includes these distances:
- 5K Walk (untimed, $20 fee)
- 5K Run (timed, $20 fee)
- Kids Fun Run - 804 m (free)
The 5K course is described as flat. Awards are presented to top finishers in each age group for the 5K race. Complimentary race shirts are guaranteed for the first 175 registered participants; registrants after October 5 may not receive their selected shirt size. Packet pick-up is available and light refreshments will be provided.
Registration details differ by event. Registration for the 5K events opens February 27, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026. Kids Fun Run registration opens February 27, 2026 and remains open through the event date. Fees for the 5K walk and run are $20; the Kids Fun Run has no fee.

Hudson Valley, a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free and confidential services for victims and survivors of abuse and violence in Orange and Sullivan Counties.
