The WAYS Race to Independence is a charity 5K run/walk held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in West Melbourne, Florida. The event takes place at Space Coast Field of Dreams Park, 3053 Fell Rd, West Melbourne, FL 32904. Proceeds benefit WAYS (Wraparound Youth Services) for Life, which supports Brevard County youth ages 15-25 with services such as case management, mental health support, food services, identification assistance, legal help, career pathways, secondary education support, life skills programming and an on-site GED FastTrack.

Registration pricing through March 27, 2026 is: Adult $35, Child (12 & under) $25. Prices increase on race day to $40 for adults and $30 for children. Early packet pickup and registration are offered the day before at Running Zone, 3696 N. Wickham Rd. Packet pickup and registration are also available at the race venue on race day. The first 150 registrants receive a free race T-shirt. Awards are given for top 3 overall male and female, top masters male and female (40+), top 3 in each age group (13 & under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & up), and for the largest team.
