Wayne Law's 41st Annual Ambulance Chase 5K
Wayne Law’s 41st Annual Ambulance Chase is a campus 5K walk and run organized by the Wayne Law School Student Bar Association Student Board of Governors. The route passes through the Wayne State University campus and the event brings together students, faculty, alumni, and members of the broader legal community.
The race benefits the Innocence Project, a nonprofit legal organization that advocates policy changes for criminal justice reform and works to free wrongfully convicted individuals through DNA testing. Since its founding in 1992, the Innocence Project has contributed to numerous exonerations.
The event is held in person at Wayne State University Law School, 471 West Palmer Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202. Participants receive the 2026 5K T shirt and trophies are awarded to the top three finishers. The event is open to all ages, offers paid parking on site, and follows an organizer refund policy that allows refunds up to seven days before the event.
