Heart Diggity Dog 5K (Detroit)
The Heart Diggity Dog 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, in Detroit. The event is organized with the Detroit Police Department and the Detroit Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM).
The course begins at Brush Mall next to RIM and the DMC Heart Hospital at 311 Mack Ave, between Beaubien and John R. The route runs down Brush to Comerica Park, circles the surrounding neighborhood and returns to Midtown. The event distance is 3.1 miles and offers two registration options: human plus dog registration and human only registration.
Registration opens July 5, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. The published entry fee is $40. Participants receive a t-shirt and a custom medal; dogs receive a Heart Diggity Dog 5K bandana. Free parking is available at the South Deck structure at 311 Mack Ave. The event also lists support for the Detroit Police Department.
