Event Overview
The Waymaker Miracles Run/Walk 5K is a community event taking place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Friedman Park in Newburgh, Indiana. It is the third annual edition of the event, organized to support Waymaker Miracles, a nonprofit that provides awareness, support, and financial assistance to couples experiencing infertility.
Distances and Activities
The event offers three ways to participate:
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed race on an out-and-back course.
- One Mile Family Fun Walk: A non-timed walk that starts after the 5K and proceeds in the opposite direction.
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk: A remote participation option that includes a T-shirt.
Strollers and dogs are permitted at the event.
Event Details
After the main events, participants can stay for additional family activities. These include a raffle, a coffee truck, a photo booth, face painting, and inflatables. Packet pickup is available the day before at Dove and Twig Coffee Shop in Evansville, and on race day at Friedman Park from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.
Awards
The 5K run/walk features cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers: $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Awards are also given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, from 6-10 to 80-99. The awards ceremony begins at 9:45 AM.
