Waverley Dash
The Waverley Dash is an approximately 10-kilometer trail race held in the South East of Sheffield, around the scenic Waverley Lakes situated between Handsworth and Treeton. The course is fairly flat, off-road, and fully marshalled, winding through lakes, trails, and fields, which may be muddy in wet conditions, making trail shoes advisable. The event offers a friendly Sunday morning running atmosphere and includes prize categories for various age groups.
Race headquarters are located beside the lakes, with convenient transport options by bus and car. The race is organized by Handsworth Roadhogs and is ideal for runners seeking a picturesque and accessible trail running experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
