About the race
Waverley Dash is an approximately 10 km trail race held on Sunday 6 September 2026 in the south east of Sheffield. The route loops around Waverley Lakes, located between Handsworth and Treeton, on a fairly flat, off road course that uses lakeside trails and nearby fields.
The course is fully marshalled. Under wet conditions the trails and fields can be muddy, and organisers advise wearing trail shoes in wet weather. The event has a minimum age of 16. Dogs are not allowed and headphones of any kind are prohibited.
Race headquarters are at the side of the lakes, at coordinates 53°22'40.2"N 1°21'45.4"W, what3words items.dishes.flap. Parking is at the AMRC training centre carpark next to Olive Lane, postcode S60 5BN, with the carpark open from 09:00 to 15:00. Public transport options include buses 70 and 70a from Sheffield and bus 73 from Rotherham.
Entries open Friday 24 July 2026 and close Friday 4 September 2026. Entry is online only, with no entries on the day. Fees are listed as UKA £6 and Non UKA £8. Refunds are not offered, but name transfers are allowed before the entry close date. The event operates under race permit 2026 - 31606 and is organised by Handsworth Roadhogs.
Prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd male and female, and first male and female in V40, V50, V60 and V70 categories, plus a small number of spot prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
