Waveney Sprint Triathlon
The Waveney Triathlon is a pool-based super sprint triathlon held in September at Waveney Valley Leisure Centre, Bedingfield Road, Bungay, Suffolk NR35 1PH. The event is presented by Tri-Anglia and aims to provide an inclusive atmosphere for racers and spectators. On-site facilities and catering are available.
Distances and course details:
- 400m swim in the 25m pool (16 lengths)
- 20km bike single lap on open country lanes and A roads with one mandatory foot-down stop
- 3.2km run undulating out and back
The event offers multiple entry categories with limited places: 170 total. Listed entry fees for BTF members with a BTF RacePass are Triathlon £50, Aquabike £40, and Aquathlon £35. Ages are calculated as at 31 December 2026, with the youngest competitor 15 and the oldest 99. Prizes include age group awards by decade and a finisher’s medal.
The course combines a pool swim with a road bike lap and a short road run. The bike section uses open lanes and A roads and includes a mandatory stop that requires a foot to touch the ground.
