Waupaca Area Triathlon
The Waupaca Area Triathlon takes place August 14 to 15, 2026, at South Park and Shadow Lake in Waupaca, Wisconsin. The event stage uses Shadow Lake for the swim, rural roads southeast of Waupaca for the bike, and streets in downtown Waupaca for the run.
The swim course is an out and back route in Shadow Lake. The bike route travels through countryside that passes multiple lakes and rolling hills. The run finishes through downtown Waupaca and returns to the park area.
Event options cover a range of formats: Long Course, Short Course, Aqua / Bike Long Course, Paddling Short Course, Long Course Relay and Short Course Relay, a youth triathlon open to ages 11 to 17, multiple kids triathlon divisions for children ages 4 to 10, and The Veleker first timers triathlon open to ages 11 to 99.
Packet pick up is handled at the registration tent in South Park with both early and day of options. Participants must pick up their own packet and sign the USAT waiver. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
