First Mondays Summer Trail Series
The First Mondays Summer Trail Series is a three-night trail event hosted by the Iola Winter Sports Club in Iola, WI at E398 County Rd MM. The club will hold a trail race every First Monday in June, July, and August, with the final night serving as the Series Championship.
Each month features a new 5K trail course. The series also includes a free 1K kids race for children 10 and under and a vertical challenge where participants run from the bottom of the ski jumps to the top on a different hill each event. Children’s activities during the events include music, food, and a mountain bike skills area.
Entry is charged per night, with a registration fee of $10 each night. Advance registration is available and day-of registration is also offered. T-shirts are available for purchase with a discounted pre-registration price and limited sizes on event nights.
The series is untimed; participants earn one point for each event they enter each night (kids race, vertical challenge, and 5K). Points convert to raffle tickets that will be drawn after the final night in August for prizes from local businesses. The event proceeds support construction of new trails and trail maintenance at the Iola Winter Sports Club.
