Watershed Endurance 6Hr / 3Hr Runs
The Watershed Endurance Runs take place on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 at the Watershed Nature Center in Edwardsville, IL (1591 Tower Ave). The event consists of two timed efforts run on a 1.01 mile loop around the Welcome Center walking path. The route surface is approximately 50% crushed limestone or gravel and 50% pavement. Direction of the loop alternates by year, with odd years run counterclockwise and even years run clockwise. The event is held in the evening and participants must wear a headlamp, waist lamp, or carry a light after sunset.
Participants may run, jog, walk, or take breaks between loops. The objective is to complete as many miles as possible within each timed limit. Field size is limited to 120 participants.

- 6 hour timed run on a 1.01 mile loop.
- 3 hour timed run on a 1.01 mile loop.
Registration fees vary by date. Packet pickup is available early on Friday, August 7th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Runwell, and on race day in front of the Watershed Nature Center Welcome Center. An aid station near the Welcome Center will provide water, energy gels, fruit, snacks, and first aid; no cooked food will be available on site. The event is cup free and restrooms are available inside the Welcome Center. Proceeds support the Watershed Nature Center and its nature preserve committee.
