Watermelon Run
The Watermelon Run is held on 09/05/2026 as part of the Lawrence Ox Roast in Lawrence, MI. The event uses USATF certified road courses and includes multiple race distances on paved roads. Sign in and bib pick up begin the morning of the race at the Van Buren Conference Center, 490 S Paw Paw St, Lawrence, MI 49064.
Distances:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- 15K - 9.3 Miles
Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for both genders in each event. Trophies are awarded to the finalists in each race for both genders. Registration for the races opens on 03/13/2026 and closes on 05/18/2026, with a registration fee listed as $25 for each event. Giveaway T-shirts are available only to registrants who registered during the giveaway period.
After the races, fresh watermelon will be served. Registration includes one pancake and sausage breakfast ticket per registration at the Lawrence Fire Department, 205 N Paw Paw St, Lawrence, MI 49064.
