Waterman's Triathlon Festival - Rock Hall, MD
Waterman's Triathlon Festival takes place October 3 to October 4, 2026 in Rock Hall, Maryland, at 21096 W. Sharp St. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and includes individual, aquabike, and relay entries across multiple distances. Relay teams may consist of two or three people sharing a single entry fee. A combined Saturday and Sunday registration includes a 20% discount on the Sunday race when both days are entered together.
Distances offered include:
- Long Course (Half): 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
- Olympic Course: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint Course: 750 m swim, 15 mile bike, 5 km run
The swim portion is a time trial start conducted in Rock Hall Harbor on the Chesapeake Bay, which the organizer describes as protected from significant wind or chop. Time trial starts send two athletes out every few seconds, and an Elite Box Start is used to position top contenders at the front. The bike route follows rural roads with wide shoulders on much of the course. The run is described as flat and travels through nautically themed neighborhoods and side roads of Rock Hall.
