Overview
The Waterman's Triathlon Festival takes place on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in Rock Hall. The event includes three triathlon distances: Long Course (Half), Olympic, and Sprint. Each distance also offers Aquabike (swim and bike only) and relay options. The festival is a two-day event with races on October 3rd and 4th, 2026. The Long Course and Olympic events are on Saturday, and the Sprint events are on Sunday. The race is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.
Distances:
- Long Course (Half): 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run.
- Olympic Distance: 1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run.
- Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 15-mile bike, 5k run.
Location & Course
The event is located at 21096 W. Sharp St. in Rock Hall, MD. The swim portion is a time trial start in Rock Hall Harbor on the Chesapeake Bay. The bike course is described as having smooth pavement and wide shoulders through a rural area. The run course is flat and goes through neighborhoods and side roads in Rock Hall.
Registration & Age Requirements
Registration prices increase after March 31, 2026. The Long Course events are open to participants aged 16 and older. The Olympic and Sprint events are open to participants aged 12 and older. A discount is available for athletes who register for both a Saturday and a Sunday race. Relay teams consist of 2 or 3 people with a single team price.
