50th annual Waterloo 10 KM Classic
The event marks the 50th anniversary of the Waterloo 10 KM Classic and takes place over the weekend of June 19–20, 2027 in Conestogo, Ontario. The venue name and detailed course maps are to be announced; the listed address is 2 Weberlyn Crescent, Conestogo.
Distances offered include:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 3 km
- 200 m kids fun run
- Big Dipper (5 km + 10 km, 15 total kilometres)
- Little Dipper (5 km + 3 km, 8 total kilometres)
The 5 km is scheduled for Saturday and the 10 km and 3 km for Sunday. The kids 200 m fun run is offered on both days. Courses are certified by Athletics Canada and the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Courses are pending final approval and may change if required by municipal authorities. Participants are responsible for knowing the course; turns will be marshaled and signed.
Every finisher in timed events receives a finisher medal. Big Dipper and Little Dipper participants receive an exclusive glow-in-the-dark medal in addition to the spinner medal. Technical t-shirts are available for purchase during registration while supplies last; stickers are available at kit pickup, one per person on a first-come, first-served basis.
A time limit of 10 minutes per kilometre applies; from the halfway mark of the 10 km a participant who does not meet the calculated split may be asked to move to the sidewalk and finish as a pedestrian without race support. Kit pickup is scheduled across the event weekend. Refunds are not available; deferrals and transfers are outlined in the registration waiver.
