About the race
The 50th annual Waterloo 10 KM Classic takes place in Conestogo, Ontario, at 2 Weberlyn Crescent with the venue name to be announced. The event spans two days on June 19 and June 20, 2027 and includes multiple distances and combined-race options.

- Little Dipper (5 km + 3 km, 8 km total)
The 5 km is scheduled for the Saturday date and the 10 km and 3 km are scheduled for the Sunday date. The kids 200 m fun run is offered on both days. Courses are certified by Athletics Canada and the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario; entries are open to everyone. Course routes are pending approval and may change to meet municipal requirements. Each turn will be marshaled and signed and participants are responsible for knowing the course.
Every finisher in any event receives a finisher medal; Big Dipper and Little Dipper participants receive a glow-in-the-dark Dipper medal. Technical t-shirts are available for purchase during registration while supplies last. Stickers are available at kit pickup on a first-come, first-served basis. Kit pickup takes place on the days immediately before and during the event. Refunds are not available; deferrals and transfers are detailed in the registration waiver. In 2026 the race sold out at 2,000 participants and organizers are exploring ways to expand capacity for 2027.
A time limit applies of 10 minutes per kilometre. For the 10 km, starting at the halfway mark, participants who do not meet the calculated checkpoint times may be asked to move to the sidewalk and finish as pedestrians without race support.
