About the race
The 50th annual Waterloo 10 KM Classic is a multi-distance road race held in Conestogo, Ontario (2 Weberlyn Crescent). The event offers several distances and combined options across two days in June 2027.
Distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 3 km
- 200 m (Klassic Kids' 200m)
The event includes the Big Dipper and Little Dipper combinations: the Big Dipper pairs the 5 km and 10 km for a total of 15 km, and the Little Dipper pairs the 5 km and 3 km for a total of 8 km. Courses are certified by Athletics Canada and the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Courses are pending municipal approval and may change.
Every finisher receives a finisher medal; all participants receive a spinner medal, and Big Dipper and Little Dipper entrants receive an additional glow-in-the-dark medal. Technical t-shirts are available for purchase while supplies last. The Klassic Kids' 200m is an untimed fun run for children 12 and under and is offered on both days; parents may run with children under the stated conditions. Strollers and passengers are free but must be registered and accompanied by a participant in a different sub-event.
Participants should note a time limit of 10 minutes per kilometre; participants who do not meet intermediate time cutoffs may be directed to finish on the sidewalk as pedestrians to reduce traffic disruption. Pre-race kit pickup is scheduled on dates before race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
