About the race
The Watercrest Wild Run is a road-running event at Watercrest Mall in Waterfall, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, held on 14 March 2027. The event combines two measured road race distances with a family-oriented festival atmosphere around the mall precinct, including food, music and entertainment.
Race distances:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 11 km Wild Run
Both races start and finish at Watercrest Mall. The event provides water tables along the routes, with six stations for the 21.1 km and two stations for the 11 km. Cutoff times are applied: 3 hours 30 minutes for the 21.1 km and 2 hours 30 minutes for the 11 km.
Entrants receive a goodie bag. Early bird and standard entries include a custom running T-shirt valued at R400 if entered before 17 February 2027; late entries receive a goodie bag but no T-shirt. Prize money of R10 000 is available, allocated to top finishers and age category prizes, with a prize giving on the event stage.
