2026 Water For People 5K - Raleigh

The event is a 5K held on April 25, 2026 in Apex, North Carolina at 1305 White Oak Church Road. It supports Water For People, a nonprofit working in Latin America, East Africa, and India to expand access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services.

The course follows the American Tobacco Trail and is described as flat and shaded. The race format includes both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Previous in-person editions drew over 300 participants. Runners, joggers, walkers, rollers, pets on leash, and strollers are welcome.

Logistics include packet pickup the day before at Fleet Feet Raleigh Ridgewood and pickup at the race site on event day. Parking on White Oak Church Road is prohibited; overflow parking is planned at White Oak Baptist Church and Young Scholars Academy with volunteer shuttles between overflow lots and the start area. Waterless pit-style restrooms are available in the parking lot and portable toilets will be placed near the start and finish. Medics will be on site and snacks and water will be provided at the finish.

Awards will be given to the fastest male and female in each age bracket as gift cards to Fleet Feet, and the largest team will receive a trophy. A post race celebration with food trucks and drink specials is planned at a location to be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
