Event overview
The Shakori 40 Running Festival is scheduled for December 5-6, 2025 in Pittsboro, NC (27312). The event uses a cross-country style course that winds through the Shakori Hills Community Art Center. Shakori Hills is located just outside Chapel Hill and is known for the Shakori Hills Music Festival. The festival weekend includes live music, food, camping, bonfires, and on-site amenities such as a barn where packet pickup takes place.
Races, schedule and entries
The festival offers individual and team events, an option for non-runners, and awards for relay, 40K, and 40-mile fields. Packet pickup, race meetings at the start line, relay awards, and individual event awards are part of the weekend program. Camping check-in, a jambalaya and chowder cookout (RSVP available), and live music are listed on the Friday schedule.
