Shakori 40 Running Festival
The Shakori 40 Running Festival takes place on December 4 and 5, 2026, at the Shakori Hills Community Art Center in Pittsboro, North Carolina. The event is organized around multiple running events and on site activities across two days.
The festival includes these race distances:
- 40 mile individual ultramarathon
- 40K individual open race
- 40 mile age graded team relay for up to 10 members
- 4 mile open race

On site offerings across Friday and Saturday include camping, live music, a Friday night cookout, food and beverage vendors, and bonfires. Packet pickup and camping check in occur on Friday with additional packet pickup on Saturday. A non runner ticket option is available that covers access on both days.
