Event

The WashU PT Run for Research is a fundraising 5K run/walk held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Saint Louis, MO (zip 63116). The event benefits the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, a non-profit focused on funding and developing physical therapy research. The race is organized by students in the WashU School of Medicine Physical Therapy program. Expected participants include members of the Saint Louis community, Washington University students and faculty, the WashU PT department, local physical therapists, and patients.

Logistics and awards

The venue is the Sons of Rest Pavilion in Tower Grove Park. Registration opens March 11, 2026 at 12:33pm CDT; the posted registration fee is $30 (previously $35). Packet pick up is available Friday, April 11, 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Big River Running Company : University City Store, 606 North and South Rd, University City, MO 63130, and Saturday, April 12, 7:45am to 9:00am at the Sons of Rest Pavilion.

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top non-binary finisher, and winners in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, and 40+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
