Washington Village 10K
The Washington Village 10K takes place on Sunday 21 February 2027 at Washington Leisure Centre. It is a fully road-closed, two-lap 10K run on road surfaces through the centre of historic Washington Village, with an overall elevation gain of about 75 m.
The course passes village landmarks including the historic village forge, the grounds of Washington Old Hall and Washington Village Green, and returns to the sports fields at Washington Leisure Centre for the finish. Marshals, clear distance markers and directional signage are positioned throughout the route to guide runners, and a water station is provided at approximately 5 km with bottled water available at the finish. A dedicated spectator zone will be located in Washington Village Centre, and accessible viewing areas are available.
Entry includes a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. Race packs are posted to early entrants and are available for collection on the day for later entries. Event parking is not available at Washington Leisure Centre; event parking will be provided at The Galleries Shopping Centre. Public transport connections serve Washington with The Galleries acting as the main local hub.
A 90 minute cut-off applies to the 10K due to the road closures. Additional event logistics such as marshal locations, signage and event village facilities are provided on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
