Washington Parish Fair 5K
The Washington Parish Fair 5K is a timed 5-kilometer road event held in Franklinton that runs through the Washington Parish Fairgrounds, with start and finish located near the Fair Stage. The 2026 edition introduces chip timing thanks to Washington Parish Tourism and is limited to 300 runners and walkers.
Organizers plan a bib and shirt pickup before the fair, and there will be race day packet pickup as well. Registration is available with a standard fee of $40 through October 1, and a late fee of $50 from October 2 to October 16; both periods include a T-shirt. No day-of registration is permitted. To be guaranteed a T-shirt, registration and payment must be received by October 16, 2026.
Awards are presented as medals to the first and second place male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions include overall male and female, 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over.
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the event is postponed, canceled, or modified by the organizers or due to circumstances beyond their control, registration fees will remain non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
