Q50 Run to the Hills - Q50 Races
Q50 Run to the Hills is a trail event held at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA. The race is presented as the 20th anniversary edition of Q50 Races and takes place on dirt park trails with scenic sections and small hills. The course is not technical.
Distances:
- 5 miles one loop around the park trail
- 10 miles two loops; the 10 mile course repeats the 5 mile loop
Water and aid: 10 mile runners have one water and food station at the end of the 5 mile loop. There is no station for 5 mile runners. Organizers ask runners to bring their own hydration container because the event practices a minimal paper and plastic policy. Water will be available for filling bottles from large coolers. Paper cups are limited and plastic bottles are being banned.
Logistics and rules: there are no transfer registrations and no refunds. Mileage switching has a deadline of Wednesday, 6/10 at midnight; switching on race day is not allowed. Park entrance requires a $3.00 per person fee paid on site; seniors age 62 and older and children under 3 are exempt. Course rules prohibit dogs, pacers, baby strollers, bicycles, and earphones.
Support and awards: food for participants will be provided by the New Orleans Mission. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance.
