Q50 Races Trails Extravaganza takes place at Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA and marks the event's 20th anniversary. The race site uses the park meeting room; park entrance carries a $3 per person fee. No refunds are offered.

The course is mostly single-track dirt and is run as loops of 10 miles. The 50, 30, and 20 mile races use two food stations; the 10 mile race has one station and the 5 mile course has no stations. Aid stations are described as providing the supplies needed to complete the course. Ultra entrants face a 14-hour cut-off time; all distances are allocated sufficient time to finish.
Race rules and logistics include no pacers, no dogs on course, and a minimum paper policy that asks participants to bring a personal hydration container. Participants receive a medal, event swag, and a finisher meal; 50 mile finishers receive a half buckle and 30 mile finishers receive a walking cane.
