Warriors For Wellness 5K
Polk State College Physical Therapist Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant programs host a community 5K on October 3, 2026, at the Polk State College Winter Haven Campus in Winter Haven, FL. The event aims to promote community wellness, raise awareness of the OTA and PTA programs, and fundraise for those programs.

The on-campus course begins on the Polk State College campus, follows the newly finished path around Lake Elbert, and returns to a finish line on campus. A course map will be provided by the organizer.
Registration opens April 1, 2026, and closes April 30, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. Participants receive a T-shirt and race bib; shirt sizes are guaranteed for those who pre-register before September 1, 2026, and are available while supplies last after that date. A finisher medal is handed out at the finish line. Early race packet pickup is to be determined based on registrations.
Awards are presented to the Top Overall Male and Female and to the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in five-year age groups (9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, continuing in five-year increments up to 70+). Polk State reports program licensure pass rates of 95% for the OTA program and 100% for the PTA program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
