Warriors for Wellness 5K
Polk State College Physical Therapist Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant programs host a 5K on the Winter Haven Campus to promote community wellness, raise awareness of the PTA and OTA programs, and to raise funds for those programs. The event includes an in person 5K on campus and a virtual 5K option.
The course starts on the Polk State College Campus, follows the newly completed path around Lake Elbert, and returns to the campus finish area. Participants receive a T shirt and a race bib; shirts and sizes are guaranteed for those pre registered before September 1, 2026, and are available while supplies last after that date. A finisher medal is distributed at the finish line. Early race packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, October 1 at Winter Haven Campus in WRH 100.
Registration opens April 1 and closes April 30. The registration fee is $25.00 for each entry. Awards are given to the Top Overall male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in five year age groups starting with 9 and under and continuing up to 70 plus.
