Warrington Way
The Warrington Way is a 40-mile ultramarathon trail race starting and finishing in the Cheshire village of Lymm. The course circumnavigates Warrington in an anticlockwise direction, primarily on trails, footpaths, field crossings, and country lanes. The route is waymarked, but runners must carry maps and navigate independently.
There are well-stocked checkpoints at 10, 21, and 30 miles. Participants can enter solo, as pairs (each running 20 miles), or as a four-person relay team (each running 10 miles). The event is UK Athletics registered and licensed by the Trail Running Association.
Finishers receive a hot meal, a medal, and a technical T-shirt if pre-ordered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
