Warrington Way 40 mile trail ultramarathon 2026
The Warrington Way is a 40 mile circular multi terrain race on 14 November 2026 that circumnavigates the town of Warrington, starting and finishing in the village of Lymm. The event base is Maple Lodge Scout and Guide Centre, Pepper Street, Lymm, WA13 0JG, United Kingdom.
The route is run anticlockwise and is mostly off road, using footpaths, field crossings, farm tracks and canal towpaths, with some road sections and major road crossings. The course crosses local waterways and infrastructure including the Bridgewater Canal, the Manchester Ship Canal, the St Helens Canal, the River Mersey, the West Coast mainline and Liverpool to Manchester mainline railways, and the M6, M62 and M56 motorways.
There are refreshments and food provided at three checkpoints located at 10 miles, 20 miles and 30 miles. Finishers receive a medal and a hot meal and hot and cold drinks are available at the finish. Warrington Way T shirts and hoodies are available to purchase on the day from 12 noon subject to availability.
Entry is offered in categories with listed fees by category. A waiting list is in operation; a waiting list entry is only paid for if a place is offered and accepted within 48 hours. Refunds, transfers and entry changes are allowed within stated cut off dates and an administration fee applies for cancellations made up to six weeks before the event.
