Event Overview
The Wargrave 10K is a well-established race held at the Wargrave Recreation Ground in Berkshire. The event includes a 10 km road race and a 1 mile fun run for children.
Course Details
The 10K course starts and finishes on grass at the recreation ground. The remainder of the route uses undulating country lanes and some residential streets within the village. The fun run is an off-road course for children aged 4 to 14, held entirely on the recreation ground.
Event Organization
The event is planned and organized by three committee members from the Wargrave and Twyford Running Club, which is affiliated with UK Athletics, in partnership with the sports event management company Barnes Fitness.
Facilities & Services
The runners' village, start, and finish line are located off-road on the recreation ground. Limited parking is available on-site for an additional fee, bookable during online entry. Additional parking is available away from the ground. The 10K course is well-marshalled and features three water stations at approximately 2.5 km, 5.5 km, and 8.2 km.
