Event Overview
The Wargrave 10K & Fun Run is a licensed event organized as a joint venture between the Wargrave and Twyford Running Club and Barnes Fitness. Observed under UK Athletics rules, the event features a mix of competitive racing and a dedicated children's activity at the Wargrave Recreation Ground in Berkshire.
The event offers two main distances:
- 10 km
- 1 mile Fun Run
The 10 km course starts and finishes on grass. The main route takes participants through undulating country lanes and various residential streets within the village. The race is open to participants aged 15 and over. Two water stations are provided along the route to support the runners.
The 1 mile Fun Run is designed for children aged 4 to 14. This race is held entirely off-road on the grass of the Wargrave Recreation Ground, with marshals positioned throughout the field for guidance.
On-site facilities at the runners' village include a bag drop area, changing facilities, and refreshments available for purchase. Limited parking is available at the recreation ground and can be reserved during the online entry process for an additional fee, while further parking options are located away from the primary venue.
