The Wapsi Wiggle is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Riceville, Iowa. The event offers two main race distances and a kids fun run. The races use the WGWL Trailhead and Welcome Center at 110 East Main Street as the start/finish location.

- Kids 1/2 mile fun run for children 10 years and younger; no fee or registration required
Both the half marathon and the 5K are timed. The half marathon and the 5K are out-and-back routes that run on a paved trail through farmland, woods and restored prairie. Medals are awarded: the half marathon gives medals to first and second overall male and female finishers; the 5K awards first and second place male and female finishers within age categories. Age categories are Under 18, 18-25, 26-35, 36-49, 50-64, and 65+.
Registered participants receive free all-you-can-eat pancakes with sausage. Non-registered participants may purchase pancakes; children aged 4 and under have a reduced price. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Little Cats Daycare. Additional event information is available through the race's Facebook presence.
