Wangaratta Marathon
The Wangaratta Marathon is an annual road and trail running event in Wangaratta, North East Victoria. The 16th edition is scheduled for Sunday March 14th 2027. The event offers multiple timed distances over a course described as fast and flat, mostly on sealed pathways or gravel with minimal turns. Mid March mornings in the region are typically cool and calm.

The 2 km Primary School Challenge is for children under 12. All participants receive a finishers medal and the top three in each age group (U8, U10, U12) receive trophies. Parents or guardians may accompany children under 10 but must start at the back. The primary school event is electronically timed.
The event is presented as a community occasion that brings locals and visitors together, with family-friendly options across five distances. The nearby Murray to Mountains Rail Trail provides additional recreational opportunities, offering more than 100 km of trail for cycling and exploration.
