About the race
Vineyards Twilight is a wine-country running festival in Milawa, Victoria, that stages three distances through local vineyards and winery properties, with a finish-line festival at Brown Brothers Winery. Each course passes winery sites in the King Valley and returns to the Brown Brothers start and finish area.
Distances and routes:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon : Brown Brothers to Sam Miranda via John Gehrig Wines, and return.
- 10 km : Sam Miranda to Brown Brothers.
- 5 km : Brown Brothers to Milawa Cheese, and return.
The event route moves along country lanes and vineyard rows, with course elements that include multiple cellar doors on course. The finish area is paired with a cellar-door celebration featuring food trucks, live music and a festival atmosphere among the vines. Brown Brothers acts as the host location for the start and finish, while Sam Miranda serves as the halfway turnaround for the longer distances and John Gehrig Wines is on the half-marathon course.
Volunteer roles such as aid stations and course marshals are organised through the event and include race credits, merchandise and volunteer recognition. The event is presented by Fit City Events and acknowledges the Bpangerang People as Traditional Owners of the land where it takes place.
