Kwat Kwat Trail Run

Kwat Kwat Trail Run is a trail running event in the Warby Ranges in Victoria, centred around Booths Winery and Black Dog Brewery in Taminick, Victoria. The courses traverse vineyards, rolling hills, grass tree forests and technical single track with views from Kwat Kwat lookout.

Distances offered include:

• 2 km kids run, min age 3 with guardian, maximum 12, no cut off
• 6 km cellar trail out-and-back, about 180 m elevation gain, no cut off
• 12 km heritage trail, approx 380 m elevation gain, prize money for top three
• 25 km alpine views, about 800 m elevation gain, 6 hour cut off
• 50 km ultra, approx 1600 m elevation gain, two 25 km loops, 10 hour cut

Minimum ages apply by race: 2 km min age 3 with guardian, 6 km min age 10, 12 km min age 12, 25 km min age 17, 50 km min age 18. The 25 km course includes a required photo at Kwat Kwat lookout; the 50 km repeats that section.

Prize money is offered for male and female top three finishers in several distances. Sample amounts include 12 km first place $100, 25 km first place $200, and 50 km first place $250 plus a $300 Wilderness Wear voucher; further prizes and vouchers are listed for other placings.

Event catering features wood fired pizza, barbecue options, Booths Winery wines and craft beers from Black Dog Brewery. All profits from the Kids 2 km Run and Beer Run events will be donated.
