Kwat Kwat Trail Run
The Kwat Kwat Trail Run takes place in the Warby Ranges within Warby Ovens National Park in Victoria, Australia. The event starts and finishes at Booth's Winery and Black Dog Brewery in Taminick.
The event offers five race distances:
- 2 km kids run
- 6 km trail run (Cellar Run)
- 12 km trail run (Heritage Run)
- 25 km trail run (Alpine Views Run)
- 50 km trail run (Kwat Kwat Ultra)
The courses traverse vineyard landscapes, hills, and grass tree forests. The longer distances include significant elevation gain and sections of single track. The 50 km event is two loops of the 25 km course. Some courses have mandatory photo stops at the Kwat Kwat lookout.
Post-race food includes wood-fired pizza and BBQ. Beverages available for purchase include wines from Booth's Winery and craft beers from Black Dog Brewery.
Prize money is awarded for the top three male and female finishers in the 12 km, 25 km, and 50 km events. All profits from the 2 km kids run are donated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
