Wandering Wolves takes place on September 26, 2026 and is organized by Wyco Wolfpack. The event is based at Wyandotte County Lake Park with starts from Shelter 16 near Shelter House 14 Access Rd in Kansas City, KS.

The course is described as a full tour of the local trail system. Nearly all of the route is on single track in a large, winding clockwise loop. The only non single track section is when crossing the lake dam. The route contains some rocks and roots but is not overly technical. No bridle trail is used.
Race services include aid stations, catered food, and beer. Race registration includes a race shirt when sized by the stated cutoff, and event swag for all distances. A finisher hat is provided for 50k participants. A custom medal and sticker are provided for all distances and include the distance and date. Entries made after the shirt sizing cutoff may not receive a guaranteed shirt or size. Race day entry is sometimes available without guaranteed swag or correct sizes.
