Westport Santa Dash
The Westport Santa Dash takes place in the Westport district of Kansas City, featuring participants dressed as Santas running through the city streets. This holiday-themed event offers several distance options for different age groups and preferences:
- 5k: A timed running race through the streets of Kansas City.
- 1k Reindeer Trot: A fun run or walk for those preferring a shorter distance.
- 200m Elf Dash: A run specifically for children aged 12 and under.
Participants in the 5k event receive a finisher medal that doubles as a holiday ornament, along with holiday treats such as hot chocolate. Registration for the main event includes a choice between a long-sleeve race shirt or a full Santa suit consisting of a hat, pants, belt, and coat.
The 1k Reindeer Trot provides a shorter alternative that concludes near the Westport Christmas Market. Children participating in the 200m Elf Dash receive a race shirt and a goodie bag.
