Wallis Sands Triathlon
The Wallis Sands Triathlon takes place at Wallis Sands State Park in Rye, New Hampshire. This multi-sport event features a course along the Atlantic coast and through scenic country roads. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and offers several competition formats for individual participants and relay teams.

The sprint triathlon begins with a 1/3 mile ocean swim in a triangle route starting and ending on the sandy beach. The duathlon replaces this with a 1.1 mile out and back run along the coast. All participants then complete a 14.5 mile bike loop through the town of Rye and along Route 1A. The final segment is a 5k (3.2 mile) out and back run with a turnaround point at Odiorne Point State Park.
The transition area is located in the Wallis Sands State Park parking lot. The finish line is situated on the grass area overlooking the ocean. Post-race activities include an awards ceremony with food and refreshments. Professional chip timing is used to provide split times for each segment of the race.
