Walker Pickle Days 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
The event is a community running program held at Walker City Park, 306 Park St, Walker, IA 52352, consisting of a 5K and a 1-mile fun run.

Pre-registered participants in both races will be provided a t-shirt; shirt styles and sizes are only guaranteed for registrations completed before July 9, 2026. Late and race-day registrants will receive t-shirts only if supplies remain. All registrants will be provided drinks and refreshments.
Children age 12 and under may participate in the 1-mile fun run. Children age 12 and under may also participate in the 5K but must pay the 5K registration fee rather than the fun run fee. Fun run participants who register and take part will receive a participation ribbon.
The 5K includes overall medals for the top male and top female finishers, plus prizes for the top two male and top two female finishers in each age division. Age brackets for both men and women are: 10 and under; 11 to 15; 16 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and up. Any awards or prizes will be distributed following the conclusion of the fun run and recipients must be present to win.
Registration runs from February 16 through July 23, 2026. Published registration fees list the 5K at $25 plus processing fees and taxes if registered before July 9, 2026, and $30 plus processing fees and taxes after that date.
