Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon & 5K
The Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Marion, Iowa on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 5th Avenue and 12th Street. The running component is presented alongside the Marion Arts Festival, a free, family friendly community arts event that includes live music, specialty food vendors, and public art programs.

Registration is tiered by date. For the Half Marathon the fees are $60 through March 16, $65 through April 16, and $70 through May 14. For the 5K the fees are $35 through March 16, $40 through April 16, and $45 through May 14. Shirt availability is limited; shirts are not guaranteed and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis for registrations after May 1, 2026.
Packet pickup is available Friday, May 15, 5 PM to 8 PM at Vernon Middle School cafeteria, 1350 4th Ave, and during race day packet pickup from 6:00 to 6:45 AM at the Marion City Hall parking lot. Packet pickup registration fees are listed separately: $80 for Half Marathon pickup and $50 for 5K pickup. There is no day of race registration. Event features include awards created by participating festival artists, giveaways and door prizes, t-shirts while supplies last, and finish line activities.
