Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon & 5K

The event in Marion, Iowa is held as part of the Marion Arts Festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 5th Avenue and 12th Street. Two distances are offered:

• Half Marathon
• 5K

Registration uses tiered fees. Half marathon fees are $60 through 3/16, $65 through 4/16, and $70 through 5/14. 5K fees are $35 through 3/16, $40 through 4/16, and $45 through 5/14. Shirts are not guaranteed; availability depends on excess quantities and shirts will be first come first serve for anyone registering after 5/1/2026. Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, May 15 at Vernon Middle School cafeteria (1350 4th Ave) and registration is also available during packet pick up. Packet pick up fees are listed as $80 for the half marathon and $50 for the 5K. There is no day of race registration.

The race is presented in conjunction with the Marion Arts Festival, a free family friendly community arts event that includes public art programs, the Empty Bowl Project, live music, and food vendors.
