26th Annual Walk with a Friend
The Friends of Kids with Cancer's Walk with a Friend is a community fundraiser held at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park in St. Louis. This event serves to support and honor children and families affected by cancer and blood-related diseases. The gathering takes place rain or shine and features several participation options:
- 10K RUN
- 5K RUN
- 1M WALK
- VIRTUAL WALK/RUN
The 10K RUN and 5K RUN are timed events managed by Big River Racing Company. These courses are located along the east side of Creve Coeur Lake. Participants in these categories compete for prizes in men's, women's, and children's divisions. The 1-MILE WALK is an honor and memorial walk situated on the west side of the lake, where families often carry signs in tribute to loved ones.
In addition to the athletic events, the morning includes various family activities at the Tremayne Shelter. These include bounce houses, face painting, lawn games, archery, and basketball. Attendees can also access breakfast snacks, popcorn, and food trucks. Registration generally includes an event t-shirt and access to all onsite activities. Packet pick-up is available at the Friends of Kids with Cancer office on the Thursday prior to the event or at the park on the morning of the gathering.
