Event Overview
Friends of Kids with Cancer's Walk with a Friend is a family-friendly fundraising event taking place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park in St. Louis, Missouri. The event is described as a "day of fun" to honor and support children and families affected by cancer.
Activities and Distances
The event features several distances and a variety of activities. Participants can choose from:
- A timed 10K run ($40 registration)
- A timed 5K fun run ($35 registration)
- A non-competitive 1-mile walk ($35 registration)
All three main events start at the same time. The runs take place along the east side of Creve Coeur Lake, while the walk follows the west side. Registration includes access to all event activities, an event t-shirt, and, for the runs, official timing by Big River Racing Company.
Additional Event Features
The morning includes numerous family-friendly activities, such as bounce houses, lawn games, archery, basketball, face painting, breakfast snacks, and popcorn, all included with registration. Food trucks and vendor booths will also be present on-site. The activities run from early morning until late morning.
Logistics
Packet and t-shirt pickup is available at the Friends of Kids with Cancer office on the Thursday before the event or on-site on event morning. The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
